This early modern Dutch variety is one of the earliest cultivars. It is strong growing and consistently produces heavy yields of large juicy fruit that hang on long trusses for easy picking. The currants are juicy and have an excellent flavour so it’s no wonder that they are rated very highly by enthusiasts and growers alike. This variety does best when grown as a cordon.
